Dear UPS,

I live in Naxos. As you know the houses here have no number and there is no postman. I get my post in the post office: Poste Restante.

My aparment is in a house whose door must be, according to the landlady, always locked, and there is no door bell.

There have been problems to receive dispatches via UPS: because my address is Poste Restante and UPS does not deliever to the post office.

Allow me, parakalo, that I give my address as: ‘UPS Naox, 84300 Naxos’ to the sender abroad. So that the dispatch arrives in the UPS Naxos und remains there until I collect it from there.

there is another option for delivery

The apartment where I live is in a house, whose door, according to the owner of the house, must be always locked, and there is no doorbell. The address of the house [March 2015, I gave the address of the house: describing it in the same street of a famous hotel]:

When the dispatch has arrived in UPS-Naxos they should inform me by email

March 2015: gave Email address…

at least two days before delivery to my house, on what day and at what time (between… and …) they’ll deliver. And by arriving in front of [March 2015: I gave the name of the mentioned famous hotel near my place] the driver should call me [March 2015: gave my tel. no.] and I come immediately to the street to receive the dispatch.

I appreciate to receive your reply latest on Tuesday Dec 30 because I would like to order a few supplements by a company in Switzerland, which delivers by UPS und there is 20% discount only until the end of the year.

UPS did not answer my first email. It answered my second one, on the same day, Dec 29. Not by email. But by police. It was after 17.30, getting already dark,  lights on. I was near my place in the street. Slowly a car approached me. It reached me. The driver asked: Is your name…? Something I did not understand. I said no. He then showed his jacket with the sign of police and asked: ‘What is your name?’ I told him my name. He asked: ‘What is your telephone number?’. I told him my telephone number. He wrote it on a paper, and pulled out. It was not a police car.

Naxos, April 08 2015. I was near the large supermarket (in the street toward Ag. Prokopius). No car, no people around. A red car came, stopped by me. The driver said: ‘What is your telephone number?’ and showed me his card (ID). I recognized him as the man of Dec. 29_ didn’t react and proceed walking. He pulled out.
